About the position
The Plumber position will undertake a range of plumbing and labouring works of a municipal nature.
Must have qualifications
- Current Queensland Plumber’s Licence.
- Current ‘MR’ Class Driver’s Licence, or ability to obtain within 3 months of commencement.
- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Desirable qualifications
- Current Confined Space Certificate.
- Current Working at Heights Certificate.
- Certificate of Competency Quick Cut Saw Operation.
- Certificates of Competency in Environmental Awareness.
- Current Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) Licence.
- Possession of relevant machinery tickets highly regarded.
Benefits
- This is a permanent full-time position based out of our Principal Depot in Charlton.
- The base wage rate for this position is $1,546.47 gross per week - including the premanent critical trade allowance
- 7am to 4pm (38 hour week).
- Nine (9) day fortnight with a dedicated day off.
- plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- In addition to the base wage rate , overtime, on call, construction and live sewer allowances are available.
About the Water Infrastructure Services Branch
The Water and Sewer Maintenance Section forms part of the Water Infrastructure Services (WIS) Branch. It is responsible for carrying out the Passive assets management and maintenance of the community Water supply and Wastewater collection pipeline networks. These works are essential for maintaining public health, protecting the environment, and promoting sustainable water management.
The Water and Sewer Maintenance Section services a region encompassing Toowoomba,Crows Nest, Oakey, and Millmerran of operational works entailing:
- Reactive Water/Sewer works
- Programmed Water/Sewer works and private works
- Supply network Bulk Water mains works
