Our valued client Metal Recovery Industries based in Rockhampton Qld, is seeking qualified and experienced Electronics Technician to work in their busy workshop
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out a range of scheduled scale tests, repairs, services, calibrations & installations of weighing equipment, instruments & control systems across many sites
- Provide a breakdown service including fault diagnoses, testing and commissioning
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles to interpret code, compile documented reports and discuss with supervisors as well as customers
- Provide technical support and advice to prevent malfunction to customers through effective communication
- Preventative maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and manuals with a focus on maintaining safety and maximising production
- Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimise manufacturing interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns/failures
- Plan, schedule and organise own work within the requirements of the role
- Plan, and coordinate with other parties as required
- To assist in the daily scrap metal operations as directed
- Ability to work in a safe manner at all times, ensuring that Company work procedures and practices are undertaken in a manner that minimises safety hazards at all times
- Ability to use industry specific software
