ADG Engineers are looking for a Manager – Project Performance to lead our project performance culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving project leadership, project governance, process improvement and execution, delivering project management tools and staff training, and project performance oversight and reporting across all practices and disciplines.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), this role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects by actively engaging with project leaders and teams, providing project health guidance, and resolving issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Leadership: Assist project leaders in meeting their deadlines and achieving project delivery outcomes.
  • Operations: Drive efficiencies to ensure projects remain on track and provide project teams with assistance to maximise project outcomes.
  • Proactive Issue Resolution: Actively chase down and resolve project issues to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coaching and Guidance: Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and teams on best practice project management approaches.
  • Project Health Updates: Regularly inform the COO on the health and status of projects, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Innovation: Lead project delivery related to digital transformation / innovation, where project delivery excellence can be improved through its implementation.
  • Strategic Planning: Execute project management strategies that enhance our project delivery, align with our organisational values, and drive business performance.

About You:

Qualifications:

  • BSc/BA in business administration, finance, engineering, or a relevant field; MBA is advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a project manager/director or relevant commercial role in the AEC industry.

Skills:

  • Strong ability to support and collaborate with project leaders to help them meet their deadlines.
  • Skilled in coaching and guiding teams on best practices in project management.
  • Effective in communicating project health updates to senior management.
  • Proven history of successful project management and delivery, including experience in project governance at a Project Director level.
  • Strong consulting experience including business systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills in developing leadership experience and capability.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate requirements clearly, with sound presentation skills.

Work Arrangement:

We are open to this being a full-time position or someone with more experience that could perform this role 4 days per week.
