Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and suitably experienced persons, capable of fulfilling multiple cleaning positions with our College. Casual opportunities available at above award rates.

Responsibilities:

• Provide and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of college buildings;
• General cleaning duties involving but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping and dusting of classrooms and furniture;
• Toilet cleaning involving but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, wiping and dusting of toilet bowls, basin, mirrors, walls, windows and floors;
• Maintain all cleaning related equipment and supplies to an acceptable standard;
• Complete cleaning checklists;
• Identify and report improvement ideas for efficiency of day to day cleaning tasks;
• Ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace environment by reporting any health and safety hazards. Comply with College workplace health and safety policy and procedures at all times; and
• Work cohesively as a team member and as required, assisting team members to ensure all work tasks are completed.

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to work a minimum of two hour shifts in the morning and/or afternoon during the week;
• Professional and reliable cleaner, able to work without supervision and with high attention to detail;
• Previous experience in a similar role, ability to cope with the physical demands of the job and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills;

Ability to per tasks of the scheduled cleaning and in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures; Be a practising Christian who is active in their own church and whole-heartedly subscribe to the Statement of Faith; Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement; Be eligible to work in Australia; and Have a current First Aid certificate and CPR or willing to obtain.
