MSS Security is seeking a dedicated and professional Part Time Security Officer to join our team at the Department of Human Services in Bridgwater. This is a static guard role, ideal for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the premises.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide a professional, courteous, and helpful point of contact for staff and visitors, assisting with general inquiries and directions.

Respond appropriately and promptly to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors.

Monitor and control access points to the building, ensuring only authorised personnel are granted entry.

Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain high-security standards and resolve any issues that arise.
Ideal candidates will have:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deescalate tense situations.

A readiness, confidence, and assertiveness to manage challenging situations.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements:
-
Full Australian working rights.
-
Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.
-
Valid Tasmanian Security licence.
-
Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).

Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).
