About the role:
As the Managing Director Integrated Solutions , you will be responsible for delivering differentiated professional services including products, service support and development of the business as an integrator of advanced technologies. This executive position reports directly to the CEO and focuses on business adaptability, developing frameworks to nurture innovation, and an agile approach to business development to move quickly towards new opportunities and create new value.
If you possess previous experience working across Defence integration with a strong focus on business development, technical expertise, and the ability to navigate complex markets, manage stakeholder relationships, and lead your team through change, then this would suit you well. The position is primarily responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to drive the growth and success of the Integrated Solutions business in the ANZ region and support global activities as required.
- Business Development: Focus heavily on business development with an innovative mindset across various technology areas. Understand technical complexities and have a high-risk appetite to grow the business.
- Governance & Risk Management: Provide oversight to business activities, particularly in the integration space, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Relationship Management: Lead stakeholder engagement to build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, industry, and government.
- Financial/Commercial Management: Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, manage financial performance by meeting revenue, profitability, and cashflow targets.
- People Engagement: Build workforce capability to meet current and future client needs. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Please note: Interstate and occasional international travel will be required in this position. Ideally, this position is located in Canberra, Melbourne or Adelaide, however, other locations will be considered for the right candidate.
What we would like from you:
- Previous experience in General Manager or Executive Leadership roles
- Highly developed Executive Management capabilities navigating complex work environments and demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence to build and maintain trusted relationships
- Previous experience working across Defence Integration activities
- Experience working in complex organisations in Professional Services, Engineering, or Consulting fields
- Experience working in innovation and technology domains
- Highly developed business development and capture expertise
- Highly developed strategic leadership skills
- Highly developed business acumen and commercial management skills
- Highly developed communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate complex outcomes
- Ability to inspire, lead and take your team on the journey, even during unknown times
- Advanced skills in interpreting commercial, legal and compliance provisions
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to hold and maintain an AGSVA security clearance
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
