About the Branch/Business Unit:
The Stormwater Management Authority (SMA) is a statutory Authority established under Schedule 1A of the Local Government Act 1999 and has responsibility for driving stormwater management planning and the implementation of associated infrastructure by the local government sector. It also has a key role in ensuring a strategic and aligned approach to stormwater management across State and local government with the provision of funding in support of its strategic objectives.
About the Role:
The Project Officer is responsible for providing administrative and project support to facilitate the efficient operation of the Stormwater Management Fund (SMF). The role ensures that the governance requirements of the fund are met and risks identified and reported by completing or co-ordinating grant/subsidy application reviews, approvals, funding agreements, recipient progress reporting and financial acquittal.
The role is required to liaise with key stakeholders including grant recipients to ensure that deliverables and reporting are received in a timely manner, and that the funding recipients deliver projects in line with the requirements of the grant agreements and Stormwater Management Authority processes.
The Project Officer will lead, under direction, the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Authority data and financial and project tracking systems. The role will assist with the review and development of operational policies and procedures to ensure the Authority efficiently meets is regulator and governance obligations. The role will lead the delivery, under direction, of Authority communications such as the website, newsletter and webinars. The Project Officer will analyse data and write reports relating to the performance of the grant program, Stormwater Management Plans, Authority policy and procedures and other matters related to stormwater management.
The role is being offered full time or part time (from 0.7 FTE).
The role is being offered as a 2 year contract with opportunity for extension.

Contract: 2 year term contract with opportunity for extension
Desirable experience:
- Experience administrating grant programs.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
Remuneration:
ASO5 $85,790 min - $95,413 max p.a., pro rata for part time hours plus superannuation. Applicants interested in part time work (0.7 FTE or greater, are encouraged to apply.
