Your role at St John of God Murdoch
You will provide optimal radiographic imaging and related services for specialised procedures within the Angiography and Endoscopy Suites, in accordance with radiation safety and Hospital standards.
Our Cardiac Cath Lab now have a permanent-part time position available for a Senior Medical Imaging Technologist with Cath Lab experience to join their multidiciplinary team.
Applications will be considered for additional part-time and casual positions as they become available over the next six months.
The Position

Program and operate radiographic and associated fixed and mobile equipment to provide optimal diagnostic and interventional imaging, in accordance with the requirements of each consultant.

Evaluate and recommend new techniques and procedures in collaboration with Senior suite caregivers and clinicians.

Participate in the roster and on-call system to ensure continuous cover to the department.

Supervise the activities of caregivers, with regards to radiographic practice ensuring compliance with requirements of Work, Health & Safety, Radiation Safety and other legislation relevant to Medical Imaging, as directed by Coordinator Medical Imaging Technologist.

Safely archive, and be able to efficiently retrieve all relevant patient data in accordance with Hospital and Department of Health policy.

Operate radiological equipment and carries out procedures in a cost efficient manner.

Keep and maintain relevant patient records in relation to procedural data.
Working within a multidisciplinary team you will have highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with advanced written and verbal communication. You will hold working knowledge of computer information technology and Work, Health & Safety Legislation.
To succeed you will have registration with Radiological Council WA, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) or equivalent, with significant experience within the Angiography Suite setting. Cath lab experience is essential to the role.

Salary : $122,210 to $130,310 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 11.5% superannuation
