Diesel Force is a family-owned workshop and field service provider based in Bunbury, servicing the entire South West, including Pinjarra, Boddington, and Ravensthorpe, as well as providing mine site coverage throughout WA.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team and kickstart your career in the heavy vehicle and equipment industry.

As an apprentice, you’ll be working alongside skilled tradespeople to gain hands-on experience in a variety of areas. You will obtain a nationally recognised trade certificate as a Mobile Plant Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and have the opportunity to work on an exciting range of equipment, from light vehicles and road transport to cranes, gensets, and earth-moving machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a wide range of equipment including light vehicles, road transport, cranes, gensets, and earth-moving machinery.
  • Perform servicing, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnosis and repairs.
  • Collaborate with a team of qualified tradespeople and report to the workshop manager.
  • Learn and develop your skills while completing the requirements for your apprenticeship.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A keen interest in mechanical work with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Previous work experience or personal interest in mechanical work is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and physical stamina.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A reliable, dedicated attitude with a sense of humour!
  • Basic computer and literacy skills required.
  • A current driver’s license is essential. C-Class preferred.
  • Must pass a full Pre-Employment medical including Drug and Alcohol testing.
  • Visa holders will not be considered.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
