We are currently recruiting for a Lead, Safety and Securitywho will report directly into the Manager, Health, Safety and Security (internally known as Director, Health, Safety and Security, this role is being offered on a 5:2:4:3 roster. In this role you willadapt and implement health, safety and security programs and policies that are aligned to the enterprise strategy and standards.
A day in the life of Lead, Safety and Security may include:
- Implement and run site-wide health and safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment
- Execute regional security approach for risk identification and handling, and coordinate regional action plans
- Enhance site performance on the areas identified for improvement and risk reduction, including running the safety, health and security performance and risk management system
- Coordinate content development for health safety and security training programs on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and use of personal protective equipment
- Conduct regular safety and security audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure that safety standards are being met, applying corrective actions as required
- Assess incidents, accidents, and near-misses on site, performing root cause analyses and devising strategies to prevent future occurrences
You will have extensive experience inimplementing occupational health& safety systems, managing and applying operational risk management processes, implementing health& safety standards, best-fit practices and monitoring processes. Your experience in project management and analysis of data to monitor and predict performance will see you thrive in this role. Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in science, engineering, safety or related degree, have substantial industry experience in health& safety systems, standards and processes. You will be a natural communicator who can influence teams and have a problem solving nature
