The Opportunity
As the Operations Manager you will be accountable for achieving site compliance and operational improvements; processing plant compliance; and business development, while ensuring that costs are controlled within budget and delivering required customer service levels.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identification and implementation of operational efficiencies to achieve exemplary customer service practices and meet contractual obligations within financial and operational targets.
- Work with customers and the Sales team to maximise revenue growth opportunities (organic and new business).
- Provide estimates and preliminary quotes for customers, where required.
- Site operations compliance and ongoing improvement in manning, rostering, equipment, and licence compliance management.
- Contribute to revenue and EBITDA growth through strong customer and sales team relationships and effective financial controls
This is a full-time permanent opportunity comprising a $650-a-week regional allowance with a yearly salary of $135,000 inclusive of superannuation.
About You
You will be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and previously lead operational teams. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop as a leader while growing the site and building into a successful operation while showcasing all your skills.
The right candidate will likely come from an industrial, manufacturing or mining environment and can look at things from a process perspective to take what is there and improve the processes and compliance.
- Prior leadership experience within an operational environment.
- Mechanical, manufacturing, production, or other engineering experience or exposure.
- Demonstrated commercial, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Exceptional leadership ability and track record in safety leadership and performance.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and communication channels with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships with customers, and internal and external stakeholders.
