Due to internal career advancement, the Minerals Sales team at Metso Asia Pacific are looking for a Technology Manger - Mining Crushers. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our installed base with Metso’s market leading Mining Crushers Portfolio. The key equipment in the portfolio are Primary Gyratory Crushers such as Metso's Superior™ MKIII, Cone Crushers such as the Nordberg® MP Series™, larger models of the Nordberg® HP Series™ and our newly launched SZ Primary Sizers.
In the role you will identify customer challenges and goals in collaboration with our experienced sales, engineering and delivery teams, to proactively provide recommendations and solutions to meet customer requirements.
The successful candidate will act as a product expert in the Market Area (Asia-Pacific) by working in conjunction with customers, engineering houses, customer account managers and the Crushing product teams to build the opportunity funnel.
The position will be located in Perth, Western Australia or Brisbane, Queensland and will report to the Director, Technology Management. This role will include up to 30% travel.
What You’ll Do
Drive profitable growth of the Metso Crushing business and maximization of market share Manage customer base in Asia Pacific and maintain key customer relationships at CapEx investment project/senior plant operations management level Sales funnel management, particularly sales pipeline growth and prioritization of sales cases CapEx and Services business lead generation Sales collaboration in support of overall business development and growth across other technologies (Business Lines) as well as Services Sales case support for other technologies as required within the team Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor activities including technology advances and site-specific activities / presence Follow-up on previously won cases to ensure our references are positive and maintain good working relationships Input into strategic direction for Crushing in the APA market area
Who You Are
A desire and an ambition to be responsible for Mining Crushers for Metso in Asia Pacific A minimum of 5 years' experience in the mining industry An academic background in a relevant technical/engineering discipline (i.e. Metallurgist, Process Engineer, Mechanical Engineer) with strong Minerals Processing knowledge Capability to be a strong and regular collaborator within Metso and in the Mining Industry more broadly is essential Proven business and industry understanding Strong technical understanding of Crushing and Minerals Processing flowsheets from a Processing and Mechanical perspective A track record in developing sales opportunities and closing deals A customer focused mindset is a must Capability for strategy formulation to ensure we win deals Ability to effectively work with others in a matrix organization from a range of cultures within a diverse political, economical, technical and social environment Regular travel as required (approx. 30% of time spent travelling)
