Description:
SSJG Ministries Inc. are seeking a Full-Time experienced qualified Cook with a passion for food to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional, high-quality, and nutritious meals to approximately 35 elderly religious Sisters in their residence in Subiaco under the direction of the Chef/Manager.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of nutritious flavoursome meals in line with dietary requirements and individual care plans.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Manage inventory, food storage, and stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a high standard of kitchen operations.
- Ensure that all food preparation areas are hygienic, well organised, and meet all health and safety standards.
What you will need - Criteria
- Minimum requirement - Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Proven experience (Aged care environment will be highly regarded).
- Excellent food safety knowledge (preferably HACCP trained).
- Passion for cooking and providing high quality food and service to the elderly.
- Strong attention to detail with an excellent work ethic.
- Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
- Clear communication skills
