Role Overview: Djinda Dreaming is seeking an experienced Childcare Centre Administrator to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of our new culturally-grounded childcare centre. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the centre by handling all administrative tasks, supporting the Director and educators, and maintaining excellent communication with parents, staff, and the community.
This position is for our Morley Location- 252 Beechboro Road N Morley
Key Responsibilities:
• Administrative Management:
- Oversee the daily administrative operations of the childcare centre, including enrolments, scheduling, and attendance records.
- Manage the centre’s office operations, including filing, correspondence, and document management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.
- Process invoices, fees, and payments, and liaise with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
• Parent and Community Liaison:
- Serve as the first point of contact for parents and families, responding to enquiries and providing information about enrolments, fees, and programs.
- Maintain strong communication with families, ensuring they are informed about important events, updates, and their children’s progress.
- Collaborate with the Childcare Director to plan and organise events that engage the community and celebrate cultural diversity.
• Support to the Centre Director & Educators:
- Assist the Centre Director with daily operations, including staff scheduling, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
- Provide administrative support to educators, ensuring they have the resources and materials needed for program delivery.
- Handle HR-related tasks such as staff records, onboarding, and compliance with workplace policies.
• Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and maintain systems to ensure the smooth functioning of the centre’s operations.
- Ensure that the centre complies with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
- Implement and maintain efficient office procedures to support a high-functioning childcare environment.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally in a childcare or early childhood education setting.
- Familiarity with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system and compliance with childcare regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with parents, staff, and external stakeholders in a professional and friendly manner.
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and childcare management systems.
- A team player who can provide strong administrative support to the Director and educators.
- Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, particularly Noongar culture, is a plus but not essential. A genuine interest in cultural inclusion and education is essential.
