About the Opportunity:
We are excited to announce that Acciona has been awarded a major wharf infrastructure project at Port Hedland for Pilbara Ports Authority. This marks the first stage in the development of the Lumsden Point General Cargo Facility and Logistics Hub (LCGF), a transformative multi-user facility designed to:
- Enable the export of critical minerals.
- Support the import of renewable energy infrastructure.
- Facilitate the import/export of general cargo.
- Accommodate the import of bulk liquids such as fuel and chemicals.
To help us deliver this project, we are looking for a Quality Manager to take responsibility for the implementation and management of the quality management systems and processes. The successful candidate will be required to work in Port Hedland on a FIFO basis on a two week on, one week off roster.
Key accountabilities for the position:
- Manage the quality management plans and systems across the project ensuring traceability from production to commissioning.
- Perform regular formal internal and external reporting and auditing on quality systems and processes.
- Ensure the management and security of all soft and hard copy documents for the project.
- Liaise with all key internal and external stakeholders to ensure process consistency across all levels.
- Provide advice where required on formal responses pertaining to NCR's and other defective items.
- Manage the as-built process ensuring all project records related to construction work are up to date and compliant.
Skills and experience required for the position:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role (ideally within complex civil infrastructure)
- Excellent understanding of quality management system tools
- Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of document management systems.
- Well-developed communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Proven in the development, coaching, and mentoring of staff and sub-contractors.
