How will I help?
This role supports the Credit Cards and Consumer Payments team by ensuring effective risk and compliance management across the value chain to deliver quality products and outcomes for customers. This includes managing risk, enhancing controls, and providing risk expertise. In this role, you will be the primary contact for Consumer Finance risk controls and policies, offering guidance on business risks and issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, document, and assess risks, incidents, and controls to foster a strong risk culture.
- Provide risk expertise to Senior Managers across various risk management activities.
- Ensure divisional operations and risk management practices align with frameworks, policies, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure the business operates within its defined risk appetite, capturing relevant metrics and thresholds.
- Support management by proactively addressing risk and control implications in key projects and initiatives.
Offer risk and compliance expertise to the Credit Cards and Consumer Payments team.

What do I need?
The successful candidate will have:
- Several years + experience in operational risk and/or compliance advisory, preferably within the Financial Services industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in risk management, law, business, or relevant industry certifications.
- In-depth knowledge of the consumer credit market and payments industry is highly desirable.
- Proactive, organised self-starter who is outcome focussed and work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
