Description:

Our NSW Government client is hiring for two highly capable Moodle Administrators to join the organisation. The Moodle Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and level 3 administration of the Moodle-based learning platform. The role ensures system stability, performance, and security while supporting users across various applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Moodle and will focus on system management, seamless operations, compliance, and performance optimisation.

Role Title: Moodle Administrators
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: 27/02/2026
Daily Rate: $650 - $700 +Super
Location: Eveleigh (2015) on-site and WFH hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain the Moodle LMS, ensuring availability, performance, and security.
  • Configure Moodle plugins, themes, and system settings to align with requirements.
  • Provide user support and troubleshooting for others.
  • Assist in testing and validating system functionality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides and system administration procedures.
  • Monitor system logs, address incidents, and work with the wider organisation to ensure timely resolution.
About You:
  • Administer and maintain the Moodle LMS, ensuring availability, performance, and security.
  • Strong experience administering Moodle LMS, including user and course management.
  • Knowledge of Moodle architecture, plugin installation and configuration.
  • Understanding of authentication and security best practices (SSO, MFA, IAM).
  • Experience troubleshooting Moodle issues and supporting end users.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • It is desirable to be familiar with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, networking).
  • It is desirable to have knowledge of integrations and automation.
