Connect Children and Families (Connect) is a not-for-profit organization serving communities in the Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Hawkesbury, and Western Sydney. Together we support children’s and families learning, safety, and well-being. We do this through supporting families to access services that respond to their needs, creating pathways both across our services, and to other community agencies that can support them.
Our services are available to children and families in their homes, in early childhood education centers and pre-schools, in community spaces and schools, and in other family-centered services.
Lapstone Preschool is a 36 place preschool providing education for 3-6 year olds. Our program has been operating in Lapstone for over 50 years and in 2019 joined Connect. We are situated in a beautiful bush surrounding at the foot of the Mountains, where children’s creativity, knowledge and self-esteem is nurtured. Boasting a large main classroom that provides many inspiring loose parts and a dedicated Bush Kinder Base Camp classroom, this centre allows for all children of diverse abilities to feel confident, valued and included in our preschool program.
We are excited to offer a rewarding part-time opportunity for a Cert III Early Childhood Educator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting families during the early stages of their child’s development. The position offers 22.5 hours per week (Weds-Fri), with the opportunity to start in Term 2, beginning 30th April, 2025

In this dynamic role, you will work within the Circle of Security model, allowing children to lead their day in an unstructured way. You will support their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development while collaborating closely with the team to provide a holistic and inclusive learning experience for all children in your care.
Responsibilities include:
• Work in partnership with families
• Maintain, set, and evaluate goals
• Programming, observations, and Curriculum planning
Key Requirements:
• Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Current First Aid certificate
• CPR including Anaphylaxis and Asthma
• Current Child Protection certificate
• Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check
• Strong programming abilities, such as writing observations and engaging in curriculum planning
• Previous experience working with children with additional needs will be highly regarded
