We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Controller to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of our supply chain operations.

About the Role:

The Stock Controller is responsible for ensuring that stock levels are optimized in line with company goals, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting stakeholders with inventory management. This role plays a key part in minimizing costs, improving efficiency, and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain optimum stock levels in compliance with inventory parameters.
  • Develop inventory control models to reduce costs, shorten lead times, and optimize stock.
  • Forecast supply and demand to ensure continuous supply chain operations.
  • Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual stocktakes.
  • Assess supply chain risks and implement strategies to minimize losses.
  • Oversee stock management operations in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain high accuracy in inventory reporting and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and J-SOX requirements.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as required by management or other departments.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Import/Export.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stock control, inventory management, or supply chain operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy in stock management.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate inventory insights to stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently.
  • Problem-solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues.
