This Melbourne-based role reports to the Senior Product Manager, and works closely with both our Australian teams and international colleagues.

About the role:
Hachette Australia is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Product Executive to join the international product team, working across book and non-book products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about books and related products, and keen to develop as a Product champion. It is a full-time permanent position based in Melbourne.
Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:
• Supporting the Senior Product Manager in list management
• Managing and maintaining the integrity of all list data
• Frontlist inventory management including pricing, scheduling and supply chain administration
• Identifying and championing key titles in company meetings and conferences
• Overseeing the inclusion of all list titles and material in the monthly sales e-kits and order forms
• Liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Achieving annual budget outcomes and stock KPIs
• Effectively communicating title strategy and priorities with internal and external contacts
About you:
You’re a fit for the role if you have:
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role in publishing, bookselling or complementary industry.
• Strong understanding and interest in Product Management
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a collaborative and busy team environment
• Strong financial and commercial understanding
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – particularly Excel
• Knowledge of Biblio and Vista information systems are an advantage
• A passion for publishing, stock management and an active interest in ideas and culture in general are all prerequisites.
