Join our team within an exciting, growing company in a key role as an experienced administrator.

At Southside Cancer Care, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Administrator to support our passionate, close knit and dynamic team in delivering high-quality cancer care services to the local community. This role reports directly to the Practice Manager.

The role is permanent full-time with hours on a rotating roster between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

What’s Involved:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience in oncology or radiation therapy administration. In this collaborative environment, your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient liaison: Welcoming patients, answering calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments.
  • Patient administration: Billing, accurate data entry in our e-management system (Episoft, Mosaiq), and managing records.
  • Liaising with hospitals, specialists, and allied health professionals.
  • Supporting doctors, coordinating with nurses, and assisting allied health staff in delivering patient care.

Who You Are:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with empathy and compassion.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Experience in a hospital or day hospital setting is desirable.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in a medical practice or oncology setting is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use multiple software systems and proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
