Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Project Manager to join our team at JJ Ryan Consulting, a leader in engineering solutions.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee multiple projects, managing budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring successful delivery.
The Project Manager will work closely with key stakeholders to align project objectives with company goals while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight – Ensure successful execution of projects across JJ Ryan Consulting and REPCOM, aligning with company objectives and client expectations.
- Financial & Revenue Management – Track project budgets, manage cost variations, and optimise revenue performance.
- Schedule & Timeline Control – Oversee project schedules, identify risks, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Scope & Change Management – Maintain project scope, assess change requests, and prevent scope creep.
- Supplier & Subcontractor Management – Oversee supplier relationships, procurement, and contract performance.
- Logistics & Resource Coordination – Manage fleet, equipment, and supply chain to support project execution.
- Risk & Compliance Oversight – Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting – Provide regular project updates to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency – Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution, reduce costs, and optimise resource utilisation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of financial and contract management principles.
Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in program or project management within engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in supplier management, procurement, and logistics.
- Proven track record of budget control, cost variation management, and revenue tracking.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and leadership at senior levels.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to manage project profitability.
- Advanced project scheduling and risk management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
- Ability to optimise logistics, fleet, and resource planning.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- High level of written and verbal communication for reporting and presentations.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, or equivalent).
