We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Operations Manager to be responsible for leading all aspects of shopping centre operations such as ESG, procurement, compliance, capital works through mentoring and guiding a team of operations managers.
The National Operations Manager will be responsible for developing various strategies and keeping up to date with any relevant legislation or regulations changes to ensure Haben is compliant, safe and operating as cost efficiently as possible.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organisational skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing operations on a national scale.

About the role
- Assist with the implementation of national ESG strategy with the National ESG Manager and senior leaders
- Ensure compliance with statutory authorities, WH&S, and good engineering practices
- Lead procurement to maximise cost efficiencies
- Collaborate on technical due diligence for acquisitions and divestments
- Oversee national capital works process and financial management
- Mentor and develop operations professionals
- Develop and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Manage critical incidents and support site teams
- Prepare and monitor property operations and capital works budgets
- Development of National Operational Strategies
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field.
- National operations level experience or 2-5 years in a regional operations manager role managing large high-volume assets such as shopping centres, airports, commercial buildings, entertainment venues etc.
- Experience leading remote teams coupled with strong leadership, interpersonal and time management skills
- Experience leading portfolio tenders for various contracts
- Understanding of ESG and how various initiatives can apply to our industry
- Experience managing risk and compliance as it relates to operating large high-volume assets
- Experience leading complex capital works projects and demonstrated financial skills
- Has Understanding of Industry trends and thematics
- High proficiency in various property management systems, including the Microsoft Office 365 suite
This role will work across our National Portfolio with regular travel to our shopping centres required. Our new Head Office is located in Double Bay however, we are open to candidates based in QLD or VIC close to our centres.
