The Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP) is about connecting First Nations people to jobs, career advancement opportunities, and to new training and job-ready activities.

Our Reach Out Officer duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Mentoring, Support and Participation
  • Education, Training & Employment
  • Expenditure, Administration & Reporting

To be considered for this position you will:

  • Be able to manage yourself, your workload and work collaboratively with the wider Programs to ensure successful outcomes for participants
  • Have the ability to relate to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People, build rapport and keep them engaged in the service
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of digital literacy
  • Have experience or the ability to deliver group workshops as well as providing one on one support
  • Have strong relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships with employers, service providers and participants
  • Previous experience in Employment Services or Sales will be highly regarded

Applicants for this position must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and be accepted in the community as such. This position relates to Section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984 (WA), where Aboriginality is considered a genuine occupational qualification for this position.

Please note this is a Part-Time opportunity for 3 Days per week.

To be considered you must…

  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
