The role

As a senior member of the Vulnerability Management Assurance team, you’ll work closely with system owners, platform owners and delivery teams, to ensure that vulnerability management activities are being undertaken within policy standards.

In addition, you’ll investigate and implement ways to improve vulnerability management assurance processes for Cyber Security and the wider group.

What you’ll do

• Co-ordinate and run regular governance forums with platform teams to manage vulnerability management
• Produce regular reporting of vulnerabilities both generally and for specific urgent vulnerabilities
• Review daily vulnerability intelligence sources and critical vulnerabilities and determine appropriate actions
• Engage with internal teams to assess and assist with prioritisation of vulnerabilities
• Communicate status of critical vulnerabilities to executive teams
• Develop vulnerability guidance materials to assist teams with prioritising and delivering on vulnerability management
• Facilitate education sessions for vulnerability management guidance
• Improve Vulnerability Management Assurance processes

What you’ll bring

• Current Industry Technical Qualifications are highly desirable
• A Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology is desirable
• At least 5 years IT experience within a professional environment
• At least 3 years IT Security experience within a large organisation
• Demonstrated specialised knowledge of security-related concepts, practices and technologies
• Hands on experience with risk management practices and processes
• Technical knowledge of infrastructure and application vulnerability assessment tools and a conceptual knowledge of Secure Software Development Lifecycles and common application vulnerability classes (i.e. OWASP top ten)
• Knowledge of Qualys and ServiceNow Vulnerability Response module or other similar technologies would be an advantage
