Due to the continuing growth of SafeGauge, we are requiring another team member based in Beresfield.

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop understand software for embedded systems, including coding, debugging, and testing
- Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure that products are designed to meet customer requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations
- Conduct testing and analysis of electronic systems and software to identify and resolve issues
- Prepare documentation and technical reports to support product development and production
- Participate in design reviews, project planning, and other engineering activities as required
- Support and maintain compliance with relevant legislation and SafeGauge policies and procedures, including equity and health & safety and exhibit good practice in relation to the same
- Comply with relevant Equal Employment Opportunity and Work Health and Safety Regulations
- Liaising with suppliers & set up and management of supplier accounts
- Other duties as needed
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in software development for embedded systems, including experience with C, C++, Python, Dart and assembly language programming
- Understanding of hardware and software integration and testing, including experience with debugging tools
- Proficiency in component-based front-end architectures such as React and Flutter
- Strong experience in the IoT domain, with an understanding of Bluetooth protocols and integration
- Experience in developing Shopify or other no-code-based websites
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma and Canva
- Hands-on experience with software lifecycle tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Basic knowledge of cloud services, including AWS and Firebase (preferred)
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to electronics design and development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
- Experience with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, Visual Studio, and MPlab
- Knowledge of Samsung Knox Configure for enterprise device management
