The Role – This role will be a fixed term contract running until end July 2025

We are seeking a skilled and creative Proposition Lead to join our Member Strategy & Experience team.

The ideal candidate will be skilled at building relationships, managing proposals, and ensuring that project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and satisfaction.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing compelling proposition and engagement strategies that align with our business goals, enhance our value propositions, and engage target audiences. Your focus will be on crafting clear, concise, and persuasive content that drives brand awareness, acquisition, and retention.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies that communicate our value propositions effectively across various member touchpoints, including our website, direct member communications, brochures, proposals and product collateral.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, member pain points, and opportunities to enhance the brand’s messaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. marketing, and frontline member growth and engagement teams) to align content strategies with business objectives and target audience needs.
  • Translate business insights and member data into persuasive and clear value propositions for our target segments.
  • Create compelling narratives that clearly articulate our offerings’ benefits, differentiators, and overall value to our members.
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive proposals by collaborating with internal teams.
  • Develop tailored propositions that deliver exceptional value and meet client requirements.
  • Oversee and contribute to the preparation of bid documents and presentations
  • Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content, ensuring that it aligns with brand tone, voice, and messaging.
  • Develop content across a range of formats (blog posts, case studies, landing pages, white papers, product descriptions, etc.).
  • Work closely with the internal stakeholders to understand member needs and ensure content supports sales and marketing objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership on content strategy within the organisation and support the development of content-driven campaigns.
  • Design proposition content that fosters stronger relationships with members, supporting both engagement and long-term retention.
  • Develop and manage a proposition engagement calendar to ensure timely and relevant engagement aligned with proposition launches, seasonal campaigns, and other strategic initiatives and tracking the progress of proposition engagement initiatives to ensure alignment with member experience goals.

Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy and how to develop messaging that resonates with target audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Creative thinker with an innovative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and engaging messages.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • A strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality content.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in proposition development, content strategy, content development or a similar role.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer experience teams.
  • Experience in creating member-driven, user-centered content
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Creative Writing or a related field. Additional certifications in content strategy, UX writing, or similar fields are a plus.
  • Knowledge of customer personas and how to tailor content accordingly.
