Description:
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant with a high-level of attention to detail and accuracy to join our Retirement Living business.
About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
– Undertaking accounts processing (AP/AR) and bank recs for our two retirement villages (in Sydney and Melbourne)
– Submitting BAS, undertake annual budgets and coordinate audits with external auditors
– Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting
– Coordinating preparation of the group’s tax return with our external tax advisor
– An ability to work 1 or 2 days a week from home
The attributes and skills we are looking for:
– Degree in Accounting, Finance or other similar field
– Experience dealing with multi-company entities and intercompany transactions would be beneficial.
– Excellent organisational and planning skills.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills.
– Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office and competency in using computer-based applications.
– Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
– High level of organisational and time management skills with an impeccable attention to detail.
