About the Role:

Join our dynamic Housing Support & Linkages team as an Administration Officer and play a crucial role in keeping things running smoothly. You will be the backbone of the team, providing top-notch customer service, ensuring efficient administrative operations, accurate data entry, and timely execution of various essential tasks. From managing client records and financial requisitions to coordinating client communication and handling grocery orders for in-office distribution, no two days will be the same! You’ll work closely with our Housing Support and Linkages Practitioners and Manager, using your strong organisational skills and ability to juggle competing priorities to support the success of the service. If you’re highly motivated, detail-oriented, and thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment, we want to hear from you!

This is a 3-month fixed-term position, with the flexibility to choose between part-time or full-time hours.

A full list of key duties is outlined in the Position Description, but includes responsibilities in:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases in relevant systems.
  • Support all Brophy processes and procedures as required.
  • Ensure you have access to and comply with legislation, standards, policies, practices and procedures relevant to the program area.
  • Ensure a professional standard of care and service provision according to the philosophy of Brophy Family and Youth Services.

Do your skills include:

  • A high level of administration and time management skills relevant to the role, applied with a proactive approach and with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, including flexibility in adjusting to changing priorities
  • A general understanding of the homelessness service sector.
  • Proven ability to adhere to confidentiality requirements for employee and organisational information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to demonstrate experience in liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders

Are your credentials:

  • A minimum qualification of a Certificate IV or related qualification in Business, Administration, Human Resources; and/or the ability to demonstrate substantial experience in a similar role
  • A current Drivers Licence.
