About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Sustainability Consultant to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in delivering innovative and impactful sustainable solutions across a diverse range of building typologies.
This position presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with some of Australia’s most prominent developers and contribute to high-profile national and international projects, leveraging our presence in Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, and London. The candidate will lead sustainability initiatives, providing expert guidance and strategic implementation aligned with key industry standards, including NCC Section J, Green Star, WELL Building Standard, NABERS, and other sustainability frameworks.
You will work closely with architects, services engineers, landscape architects, contractors, and clients to ensure the seamless integration of sustainable design principles throughout all project phases, driving meaningful environmental and social outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
✅Manage sustainability projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant rating tools and standards.
✅Collaborate with architects, services engineers, landscape architects, contractors, and clients to integrate sustainability strategies effectively.
✅Provide technical guidance on NCC Section J, energy efficiency, daylight modelling, indoor environmental quality, and water and waste management strategies
✅LCA or NatHERS experience is appreciated
✅Lead the preparation and submission of sustainability certification documentation, including Green Star, NABERS, and/or WELL assessments
✅Communicate sustainability concepts and technical requirements clearly to clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
✅Conduct sustainability workshops, presentations, and training sessions as needed.
✅Stay up to date with industry trends, policy changes, and emerging sustainability best practices.
What We’re Looking For
A passion for sustainability, environmental design, and engineering.
A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Building Services, or a related field.
Proven experience in sustainability consulting, with expertise in NCC Section J, Green Star, WELL, NABERS, or other rating tools. LCA experience is appreciated.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in sustainability modelling software and tools (e.g., IES-VE, Rhino, FirstRate5 or Hero).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about sustainability solutions.
