Dispensary Assistant : Part Time

About the Role: We are seeking a Dispensary Technician to work alongside our pharmacists in assisting with the preparation and dispensing of compounded medications. The position involves managing dispensary emails, processing orders, restocking, and ensuring all medications are dispensed accurately and efficiently.
Commencement date : March -April and negotiable.
Thursday 9 to 2 pm Friday 10 to 6 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist with dispensing prescription medications and preparation work.
- Accurately measure and dispense medications, ensuring adherence to safety and legal standards.
- Manage dispensary emails, respond to customer queries, and process orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and ensure the dispensary runs smoothly.
- Provide customer support, offering guidance on over-the-counter medications and recommending front-of-shop products.
We require someone who has a friendly, positive can do attitude, who is a team player and has excellent customer service skills. Someone who is able to advise on over the counter medication and is confident in recommending and up selling front of shop products.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate:
- Prior retail experience (essential) and a strong product knowledge of pharmacy
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer focused with ability to work in a fast paced environment with a passion for retail.
- Ability to work in a friendly, fast paced and harmonious team environment
- A proactive, enthusiastic, friendly personality
- Strong work ethics
Requirements:
- Training in Pharmacy - must be S2/S3 certified / Dispensary technician course.
- A minimum of 2 years experience with Certificate 2 or above in community pharmacy is preferred
- High computer competency, along with excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Must be fluent in fred dispensing
