The CompanyOur client is a reputable not-for-profit and training organisation providing vocational education and training to the Aboriginal community health sector. A strong advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health in Victoria, they support 33 members in delivering culturally safe health and social services.
The Role
As the RTO Compliance Officer, you will work closely with the team to ensure the implementation of continuous quality improvement and maintain compliance with all standards and regulatory obligations. You will also be responsible for supporting all student administration activities.
Based in Collingwood, VIC, this is a full-time role with hybrid working arrangements offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and quality management activities to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements and funding contracts
- Maintain and update trainer and assessor’s files with qualifications, professional develop, and industry currency activities
- Create compliant TAS for each cohort, update and maintain them
- Assist in the planning, preparing for and recording of evidence for the validation of assessment tools and moderation of assessments
- Conduct student file audits and issue Certificates/Statements of Attainment on time
- Manage student records archiving process
- Oversee information uploads and updates on Student and Learning Management system (VETtrak)
The Successful Candidate
- Experience working in a similar position, in an RTO environment
- Experience with VETtrak, or similar Student Management System
- Thorough understanding of Skills First funding and 2015 RTO Standards
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait islander peoples cultures and health (desirable)
- An understanding of LGBTQIASB+ issues and respect for diverse identities (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people
- Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as an effective team member
