At their Broadmeadows site, they manufacture life saving blood plasma derived therapies. Role Overview:The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing CAPEX projects of the site to meet Annex 1 updates and requirements including scoping to compile project information together, develop business case, liaise with procurement, manage timelines and budgets. E.g. upgrade of certain areas with a clean room area from D grade to C grade. As such, the ideal candidate will come from a pharmaceutical background possessing strong aseptic knowledge and rounded experience in HVAC, electrical and mechanical.Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extensionStart Date: ASAPCapacity: Majority on-siteHours: Mon to Fri standard hours Pay Rate: $55.17 - $60.17 p/h + superTeam Size: ~8
Role Responsibilities:Development of business casesDefine, detail and collate all of the project information together, including being across budget estimates and ensuring everything related to the project is accounted forAttend site committee to present business cases for approval and monthly meetingsLiaising with procurement, purchasing equipmentEnsuring Installation dates are locked inCoordinate and schedule works during shut downs to ensure critical work is completed during this timeThe position will then move into qualification of equipment phaseWorking with teams on validation and working with key stakeholdersReview complete scope of workSupporting and delivering the project objectives, controlling scope changes to meet budget and schedule, functionality according to the URSs, Equipment TRSs, GMP, safety and environmental requirements during all phases of the project (Design, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Qualification)Other support activities for main focus areas of Project as required Skills and Experience Required:Engineering Degree (Chemical or Mechanical)3+ years of Engineering project management experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry (must have)Aseptic background, understanding of filling and aseptic areasHVAC services experienceQualification and shutdown planning experienceExperience on projects that are shutdown extensiveExperience with machine upgrades, requalification background e.g. laser particle counters
