The opportunity!
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will review, negotiate and settle customer, supplier and partner contracts and have experience working in high-growth SaaS businesses with expertise in commercial, including technology, law. Collaborating closely with the Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Finance, Product and Technology teams, the Contracts Administrator helps support revenue growth, mitigate risk, and maintain operational efficiency by providing quality services in a responsive manner.
Typically, you will:
  • Prepare, review, negotiate, settle and obtain approvals for a variety of customer, partner and supplier contracts, including:
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
    • Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Services Agreements and Standard Terms & Conditions
    • Statements of Work (SOWs) and Engagement Letters
    • Order Forms (including Special Conditions) and Change Order Forms
    • Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
    • Amendments, Addendums and Novation Agreements
    • Referral and Reseller Agreements
  • Identify potential risks, escalate commercial, technical and legal issues, as appropriate, and obtain necessary approvals for deviations from standard contract terms following approved delegated authorities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain input on non-legal terms and requirements, such as technical specifications, security requirements and operational process.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist in developing and ensuring adherence to company-wide contracting process, including updating playbooks and conducting training.
  • Assist the Sales and Account Management teams to complete internal contract approval checklists for individual contracts.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining and updating contract templates.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare, review, negotiate, settle and obtain approvals for non-standard contracts and supplementary terms and conditions.
  • Assist with preparing tender responses, including reviewing public and private sector contracts (both standard and non-standard paper) and preparing contract submissions (including departures) complying with tender requirements.
  • Support continuous process improvements to streamline and optimize the contracts lifecycle management process, including the successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of automated contracting processes, such as an AI contract review tool.
  • Act as a central point of contact and provide guidance on all contract-related matters to the Sales, Account Management and other teams to help ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with other members of the Legal team and senior management to resolve complex contractual matters.
  • Maintain organised files and document management to ensure efficient collaboration within the Legal team.
  • Assist the Sales Operations and Account Management Operations teams to manage their systems, including contract management systems.
  • Manage contract flow and track the status of pending contracts, ensuring efficient and timely processing, and manage expectations of stakeholders.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a contracts administration or similar role within a SaaS business.
  • Expertise in contracts, technology and privacy laws, including GDPR.
  • Experience in contract administration, including experience in prioritising and processing a high volume of contracts through the entire contract lifecycle.
  • Strong communications and skills, both written and verbal, including listening and diplomacy skills.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, including meeting deadlines, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of legal, risk and business implications of how contract negotiations are conducted (both positions taken and how they are communicated) and contracting velocity.
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally and build strong working relationships with individuals in other teams and externally.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Bonus Points:
  • Experience with Salesforce, DocuSign, Responsive (or other RFP tools), contract management tools, AI contract review tools, and other relevant productivity tools is a plus.
  • Experience as a Paralegal is a plus.
