Australian Bay Lobster Producers Ltd (ABLP) is a renowned organisation specialising in land-based aquaculture and progressive Australian wild catch fisheries. With over a 25-year legacy of growth and innovation, ABLP is dedicated to producing exceptional lobster products through environmentally friendly practices.
This position is located at our facility in Chinderah, NSW and reports to the Processing Manager. It is a hands-on position and is suitable for candidates who work well within a team and have an outstanding work ethic.
About the role:
- Prepare feed for lobster production
- Prepare seafood products
- Clean workspace and equipment
- Picking and packing orders for dispatch
- Execute tasks as communicated by management staff
- Follow policies, procedures and Workplace Health and Safety guidelines.
The successful candidate will have the following qualities/experience:
- Good communication skills and enjoy working in a small team environment
- Physically fit to handle repetitive tasks efficiently, correctly and systematically
- Seafood/ food processing experience and/or forklift ticket is desirable (not essential)
About the position:
- This is a full-time position – the candidate must be able to work a minimum of 38 hours per week.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transport to attend work
- Australian resident or have the right to work full time in Australia
- ABLP has a zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol use. You may be subjected to a medical including drug and alcohol testing pre/post-employment.
- Weekend Work – candidates will be required to work some Saturdays.
Working Environment:
Whilst performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly exposed to cold refrigeration temperatures. The position will require lifting and carrying objects up to 20kg and periods of driving.
