Description:
East Coast Support Solutions is growing registered support provider located at Charlestown.
We are seeking dedicated, reliable individuals who excel in providing person-centred quality supports to come join us to work in and around Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Maitland Areas. You will have experience in Community Access, Personal Care, Respite, ILO, Intensive Mental Health, Psychosocial Supports and Over night supports.
We have immediate start for the right candidates.
The skills and experience you will bring to the role are:
Minimum 6 months experience in a support role or similar
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar
Demonstrated experience/knowledge of issues affecting people with disability.
Proactive attitude
Ability to work autonomously
A desire to assist others with a person-centred approach
Accurate reporting and Incident reporting skills
Ability to engage with Participants respectfully and safely
A professional or lived experience with a disability
Excellent communication skills
On going availability to work in a 24/7 roster.
Computer Literacy
Prepared to travel to areas required
Desirable Skills
Understanding and/or personal experience with supporting Aboriginal Participants and the cultural needs associated with these supports.
