About the role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Solar Apprentice (1st or 2nd year) to join our team at Switchtec Electrical Solar Solutions in Catherine Field. As an Electrical Solar Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial solar power systems. This is a full-time position, offering the chance to develop your skills in the growing renewable energy industry. At Switchtec we value hard workers, so early finishes are rewarded with early knock-offs. Overtime available.

What you'll be doing
- Assisting qualified electricians in the installation and maintenance of solar panels, inverters, and other electrical components
- Learning the fundamentals of solar system design, installation, and troubleshooting
- Gaining experience in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics
- Ensuring work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant industry standards and safety protocols
- Participating in ongoing training and development to expand your knowledge and skills in the solar energy field
