About the Role

  • Position - Permanent Part-Time Learn to Swim/Development Swimming Supervisor
  • Hours - 26.5 hours per week (across Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
  • Location - Brookvale - Sydney Northern Beaches

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and supervise our Learn to Swim Instructors and Development coaches
  • Assist in the delivery of our Learn to Swim Program including assessments, bookings and transfers, execution of level outcomes and teacher reviews
  • Create a fun and engaging environment where swimmers can thrive and build their confidence in the water
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality swimming lessons, ensuring the safety of all children and their continuous progression
  • Support the ongoing development of our team of instructors and coaches, encouraging their professional growth
  • Foster positive relationships with both swimmers and their families, creating a welcoming atmosphere and offering customer service that is second to none
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth program delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Must have an Australian Learn to Swim Qualification and at least 3 years of experience in a learn-to-swim program in Australia
  • A passion for swimming and a genuine desire to inspire others
  • A natural leader who thrives in a team environment
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build connections with children of all ages, their parents and carers
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is advantageous but not essential
  • Comfortable with using technology
