Position InformationHurlstone Agricultural High School is an academically selective residential agricultural high school and has an enrolment of 962 students, including 5 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and 214 English as an additional language or dialect language students (EAL/D). It is the only NSW Government fully selective, coeducational, agricultural, boarding high school. There is a strong commitment to advancing the learning outcomes for all high potential and gifted students across the four domains of giftedness. The school strives to build a collaborative and collegial teaching and learning environment which fosters collective efficacy through the delivery of high-impact professional learning, while also maintaining a strong focus on the growth and development of student wellbeing outcomes.
Selection Criteria- Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (secondary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (secondary) in regular classes.
- Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers
- Capacity to manage learning and support administrative processes of the school and Department of Education.
- An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
- This is a permanent part-time position of two days per week, 0.4 FTE (full time equivalent)
