South East Queensland Hauliers is a full service wharf logistics provider based in Hemmant, 5 minutes from the Port of Brisbane. Founded in the 1960’s, SEQH have grown to become one of the largest import/export wharf carriers whilst still remaining a family owned and operated business.
SEQH reside on company owned sites in both Hemmant and Toowoomba. Both of which are undergoing 2025 planned infrastructure developments that have been initiated by genuine growth. It’s an exciting time to join!
Key Responsibilities:
As a Professional Driver at SEQH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery and collection of shipping containers and various cargo. Your responsibilities will vary depending on your experience level but may include:
- Safely transporting cargo to and from our depot in Toowoomba.
- Completing timesheets accurately and promptly, providing necessary documentation to the Transport Fleet Allocator.
- Interacting closely with customers to coordinate container movements and deliveries.
- Adhering to schedules provided by the Transport Fleet Allocators and following all road laws and safety regulations.
- Performing pre-start checks on equipment and conducting maintenance as required.
- Upholding the goals of the Chain of Responsibility, including load restraint and fatigue management.
- Participating in company training programs and inductions as required.
Key Requirements:
- Hold a current MC class Licence.
- Experience in container transport, specifically A Doubles, is preferred.
- Availability for Monday to Friday Night Shifts, with occasional Saturday work if available.
- Positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to safety.
- Knowledge of applicable legislative requirements, including the Chain of Responsibility.
- Evidence/copy of 5-year Traffic History.
- Must undertake a pre-employment medical drug and alcohol screening
