Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling food in a daily basis according to customers specifications, ensuring a clean work environment and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Regularly inspect cooked and uncooked food to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with senior chefs in developing and creating new recipes, ensuring variety, quality, and consistency in menu items.
- Manage and train junior kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic workspace, handle food safely, including proper storage of food, equipment and utensils ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, and deliveries are required, along with accurate recording.
- Monitor cooking methods and presentation of dishes to ensure high-quality standards.
- Order ingredients, manage stock, and reduce waste by using ingredients efficiently.
- Coordinate the workflow of the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
Qualification and Experience required:
- 1 year of full-time relevant work experience, especially in a fast phase environment.
- Have a certificate III in commercial cookery or certificate IV in kitchen management. (Preferred)
