About The Role
Based out of Mackay, you will have responsibility to attend customer sites to install, service and maintain fire protection equipment including hose reels, hydrants, extinguishers, and other related products including testing of smoke alarms.
Other Duties Will Include
Servicing portable fire equipment on our customer premises and recommending portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment to comply with specific Australian StandardsProviding excellent Customer service and advice to our clients on siteUsing power tools to install and repair portable fire equipment such as extinguishers and blanketsOpportunity for overtime working at mine and or remote sitesUsing Field Service mobile phone application to plan and organise your schedule.
About You
Whilst previous experience in the Fire industry is preferred it is not essential as you will receive all the training required to perform your role at a high standard. If you have a service mindset and enjoy customer interaction you can achieve the outcomes you and our company desire.
QBCC Portable licence or Certificate II in Fire Protection is preferred or willing to obtain with in house trainingCoal inductions and medical advantageousCurrent Driver’s LicenceAustralia Citizen or Permanent ResidentA construction industry white card (or the ability to obtain one)Some experience in a similar role where you are responsible for basic maintenance and/or mobile service delivery is desirableAn appreciation of excellent customer service and the ability to communicate with clients on siteGood time management and organisational skillsThe ability to work away from home when required – Remote sitesDemonstrate efficiency through prior time and route planningCan prepare written reports and quotations where requiredBe a proactive member of the team
