Description:
Ashgrove State School are seeking applications from an energetic, honest and reliable people to join our cleaning team. As a cleaner you will, contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the school site by providing a high level of cleaning support. This position at Ashgrove State School is offered on a permanent part-time basis, at 0.55 FTE and 42 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will need to work split shifts. The shifts will be Monday - Wednesday afternoon 2.30pm - 6.00pm and Thursday - Friday split shifts from 5am -8am and 2.30pm - 6pm.

About the Role
Your role as a cleaner include a mix of any activities listed below. You may be required to undertake other activities relevant to the nature and classification level of a cleaner.
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Removal of graffiti.
About You
The following skills and attributes for the position:
- A team member with the ability to perform under direction, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work demands and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate knowledge, or ability to acquire knowledge, of departmental cleaning policies, practices and procedures used in schools.
- A Certificate III in Cleaning Operations would be an advantage but not a necessity
