The Finance Manager - Property Business Partner will work across a national portfolio and will be a key business partner to the property team, managing all aspects of property financial and administration tasks. This role is accountable for financial compliance, reporting and management of the property finance function.

About the Role

  • Operational financial management and administration of the property portfolio reporting to Head of Property and accountable to United Petroleum CFO & Group CFO
  • Managing portfolio income to ensure rent, rent reviews, turnover rent, recoverable outgoings, and other miscellaneous billings have been accounted for and processed
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable/Bookkeeping function to ensure accurate and timely payment of property related operating and statutory expenses for all owned properties and externally leased service stations
  • Oversee financial and property accountant to ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly reports - cash flow, income and expense variance analysis and BAS returns
  • Assist the Head of Property and Finance team to develop more efficient processes and effective controls over core financial transactions
  • Assist General Manager, Finance with all statutory obligations, external banking obligations, annual insurance renewal, intercompany loans, tax compliance and finalising annual trial balances
  • Oversee the property finance team including appropriate resourcing and assist with building capability of the property management team
  • Manage the ongoing maintenance and management of the property management system (Progenesis) including data integrity, IFRS compliance (with finance) and property financial and lease related reporting

About You

  • Experienced in property financial management and administration
  • Highly analytical, with attention to detail, high level of accuracy and with systematic and methodical approach
  • Intermediate-advanced MS Office skills with excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work as part of a busy property team, in a dynamic environment, multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, targets, and timelines
