Essential Skill Required:
Must be a strong team motivator and possess excellent personal presentation and communication skills
Must be hard working and effective
Must be friendly and outgoing
Must be available for evening/night shift
Must hold a Certificate IV in Hospitality or equivalent and have at least three year of work experience
Key Responsibilities:
Report to Managing Director
On a daily basis supervise the set-up of the restaurant in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations and in accordance with service standards set by Taste of Thai, Cairns
Supervise the floor at all times and ensure customer service standards are fully met and exceeded
Organise bookings and seating customers upon arrival.
Maintain daily stock levels
Confer with customers to assess satisfaction with service and meals
Train and supervise wait staff and bar staff
Supervise all point of sale transactions including recording of financial transactions
Report to proprietor daily, weekly and monthly all financial transactions and banking
Prepare quotations and organise for special functions, i.e. special group lunches and dinners, picnics/snack boxes for Thai cuisine
Travel groups, birthday parties or other celebrations
Strictly adhere to workplace Health and Safety Guidelines and report any concerns to management immediately.
