Are you looking to be part of a thriving team in the seafood industry? We are a well-established seafood wholesaler, and we are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Process Worker to join our fast-paced production team.

Position: Process Worker
Location: Seventeen Mile Rocks
Hours: 38 Early Starts and
Salary: Competitive wage, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

As a Process Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our seafood processing facility. Your main duties will include:

  • Seafood Preparation: Assist in cleaning, sorting, and packaging various seafood products, including fish and shellfish, ensuring they meet company quality standards.
  • Operating Machinery: Safely operate processing machinery, including cutting and packaging equipment, in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Quality Control: Inspect seafood for freshness and quality, reporting any defects or issues to supervisors for immediate action.
  • Packaging & Labeling: Accurately package and label seafood products according to specifications, ensuring proper presentation for distribution.
  • Sanitation & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace by following company protocols, including regularly cleaning workstations and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to meet production goals and ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential—training will be provided.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality and consistency, with the ability to follow instructions carefully.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to work in a cool, fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and handling repetitive tasks.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work cooperatively as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is an advantage.
