North West Private Hospital requires an experienced, organised, enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated Bass Ward Med/Surg Team. Relevant qualifications or suitable experience in a patient care environment is desirable. 30 hours per week - work hours will be 6 hours per day Monday to Friday.

Duties :

• Clean ward areas as required
• Re-stock ward linen
• Make inpatient beds
• Clean discharge beds
• Re-stock medical/surgical supplies
• Transport specimens to Pathology as required
• Pick up Pharmacy/Pathology supplies as required
• Escort patients to and from Medical Imaging as required
• Assist with direction of visitors.
• Liaise with Domestic Services staff regarding expected daily discharges and Catering Services regarding patient meals.
• Retrieve patient files as required
• Provide clerical assistance / routine clerical functions to the nursing staff as directed
• Other duties as required

Essential Requirements:

• Current Australian Criminal Record Check (less than 3 months old)
• Current Working with Vulnerable Persons check (Tas)
