About the Role
The Senior Child and Family Practitioner provides coaching and direction to relevant staff to ensure they understand and fulfil the requirements of their role; promotes reflective practice; delivers relevant practice-specific workplace training to staff; and may provide direct assistance and support where required such as complex case reviews. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position is being offered as Permanent Full-Time based from our office in Hobart with flexible working from home arrangements. A Tool of Trade vehicle (including fuel card) will also be allocated to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages the delivery of client case work and ensure the case management services complies with LWB policies & processes and the relevant statutory regulations, funding agreements and accreditation standards.
- Provide case management to children, young people and their families with complex support needs in accordance with the CARE principles, LWB practice models, policies and procedures.
- Lead a culture of reflective practice and provide regular supervision, coaching, development and support to case management staff to deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and their families.
- Complete assessment, planning, review and referral for children and young people with complex support needs using endorsed and approved policy, procedures and tools
- Promote and lead the implementation of organisational practice related initiatives, including supporting the ongoing activities to embed Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and the CARE model, to support a shared language and shared understanding of best practice.
Skills and Experience
- Recognised Social Work qualifications with eligibility for membership of the AASW and/or a Bachelor of Psychology or other relevant qualification.
- Knowledge of TCI and CARE frameworks will be highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role in case work with children, young people and families.
- Demonstrated experience in practice leadership and / or developing and implementing practice improvement strategies to improve service delivery.
- Current Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check.
