Major Loss Claims Manager

At Suncorp, our Terri Scheer brand is synonymous with excellence in this field. We're on the lookout for a Major Loss Claims Manager to become a valuable addition to our dynamic team in Adelaide.

This is a 12-month secondment opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage a diverse portfolio of high value claims at varying stages
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Conversations: Engage with customers compassionately, explaining the claims process, outcomes, and providing continuous support throughout their claim journey.
• Proactively and effectively communicate stakeholders (Assessors, Repairers & Suppliers) and provide updates on claims advice, process, next steps, timelines, payment and settlement.
• Identify and deliver effective conflict resolution strategies to minimise customer escalations.
• Identify customers experiencing vulnerability and take appropriate action to ensure the customer is supported.
• Identify when claims are off track and put in place action plans to get claims on a pathway to a positive outcome.
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, legislative and external requirements.
• Role model the Being @ Suncorp Behaviours and Code of Conduct.

Skills & Experience

• Claims Experience: Minimum 1 years or proven claims experience – Desired
• Empathy and Compassion: Your ability to connect with and understand the needs of our customers sets you apart.
• Integrity and Commitment: You have a strong sense of ethics and a dedication to exceeding customer expectations.
• Effective Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal communication allowing you to build rapport and address complex issues with ease.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in computer skills, including professional email etiquette and data accuracy.
• Time Management and Attention to Detail: You excel in managing your time and paying meticulous attention to the finer points of your work.
