Purchasing and Goods Inwards/Outwards Controller
Location: Darlington Workshop, Southern Adelaide

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in procurement and inventory control? We are looking for a Purchasing and Goods Inwards/Outwards Controller to join our team and support our maintenance and production operations.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing goods and services, managing inventory, and overseeing the receipt and dispatch of goods. You will ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining accurate records and liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing:
- Source and procure goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Manage purchasing activities, including verifying goods received, processing invoices, and monitoring costs.
- Obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and participate in tender arrangements.
- Ensure appropriate authorisation of purchase orders as per company policy.
- Review supplier performance and seek cost-saving opportunities.
Goods Inwards & Inventory Management:
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
- Check deliveries for damage and record any issues.
- Maintain and monitor consumable inventory levels.
Logistics & Coordination:
- Assist with loading and unloading freight.
- Arrange urgent part collections when required.
- Liaise with freight companies, transport managers, and logistics teams.
- Ensure work and storage areas remain organised for efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in procurement, inventory control, or logistics.
- We are ideally looking for someone with a maintenance background or experience working with tooling/ spare parts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying goods and documentation.
- Must be physically fit and able
- Must have Forklift license
- Ideally have HR license
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
- Experience using procurement or inventory management systems (Workbench experience is an advantage).
